Hula Boy's Top Ten YouTube Videos

10. Angry Video Game Guy - TMNT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjUz8IT0CYg

This guys video blogs are great, and the intro’s bring back so many memories. The days of blowing on the NES cartridge, beating the hell out of the machine. Those were the days, fixable video game problems, not things like the ‘red ring of death.’ Also, the original TMNT game was so terrible, yet I always remember getting into fights with friends over which character I would chose.

9. What What http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbGkxcY7YFU

The little seen clip(?) that inspired the classic Butters sketch from South Park. I only wish Camson would one day reenact this clip.

8. There Will Be Bell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfuTT-NzVbc

While this is by no means a great clip, I love Saved By the Bell and There Will Be Blood enough to include this on my list. Plus, I actually remember the episode of Saved By The Bell where they found oil at the school. A close runner up was the Brokeback Mountain parody with Zach and Slater.

7. George Washington http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbRom1Rz8OA

Before Chuck Norris there was George Washington. But while Chuck generally sided with good (and Mike Huckabee), G-Dub wasn’t always so upright of a guy, as this clip informs everyone.

6. Robot Wars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQhHuSquzz4

Maybe it’s the inevitability of this clip that I enjoy? I mean it is only a matter of time until we see real discussions about the Robot Wars on C-Span.

5. Spiders On Drugs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHzdsFiBbFc

Maybe it’s the inner scientist in me that likes this video, but it is just so well constructed. Are those spider webs real? Would we see similar effects on Spider Mans’ webs if he took these various drugs. I want to know, can someone do experiments on that? Where’s Peter Parker?

4. Speak Out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIEHI0vfCBk&feature=related

I’m not sure I’ve laughed harder at a You Tube video in my life. The clip may be on the long side, but it gets funnier and funnier as it progresses. I cannot even imagine how this prank was put together on such a massive scale, I’m not sure if it is one guy doing the continuing harassing or all of New York City, and I don’t want to find out either. And I cannot imagine what would have spurred such a strong animosity toward one individual.

3. Italian Spiderman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhHhXukovMU

It’s like Hancock… but funny. Oh, how I wish I saw this on the big screen preceding one of this summer’s big Hollywood Superhero flicks. The mix of playing it straight with ridiculous costumes and scenarios is a great reminder of the classic Batman television show. And the old time feel of the clip is perfect too. Massive amounts of props to the creators of this special clip.

2. Brokeback to the Future http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uwuLxrv8jY

While I’m a fan of fake movies, I’m an even bigger fan of trailer parodies and this one works perfectly for me. A mash up of the three Back to the Future movies laid to an unforgettable theme song. I’ve never seen Brokeback Mountain but that theme song is pitch perfect and lays the groundwork for the fourth Back to The Future movie that we all wanted to see.

1. Japanese Learning English http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeRGd4Rn7fA&feature=related

Greatest video ever. I’m shocked that this hasn’t started WWIII yet, I mean does it get anymore stereotypical than this?

At first, I thought this list would be a tough one to put together, but it didn’t turn out so bad. I even had an honorable mention, the Numa Numa video, which is the only huge internet sensation video that I enjoyed, and I’m not even sure why I enjoyed it. I’m going to be very curious to see if there is any overlap with each other’s list for this topic.

Overall, not too bad. I appreciate links more than Kevin's silliness. The Saved by the Bell was way too long. I would've liked it at like 4 minutes, but 7 was a bit much. Japanese Learning English is super old. I didn't think it was that funny to begin with, and it definitely doesn't have much rewatch value. Brokeback to the Future is of course gold.

I disagree with Camson, Japanese Learning English is highly rewatchable. Robot Wars is also a personal fav of mine.
